The mapping of Berlin explored the relationship between the periphery and centre of a city and how they interact in an urban context. Influenced by Deyan Sudjic's theory that the centre of a city is ‘a leisure park for the tourist', the street art of Berlin was mapped.
The analysis showed that the art was clustered in the peripheral areas of Berlin reiterating Sudjic's theory that the centre of a city is preserved to emulate ‘what tourist brochures describe' unlike the periphery which evolves and in accordance to the population and their socio-political views.
